Rating Everton's 5 New Summer Signings

4. Muhamed Besic

Besic was one Europe's highly rated players last season and Everton have done extremely well to ink a deal with the Bosnian International. At just 21 years old, he is certainly a player who can shape the future Goodison, but fans will also likely see him feature a fair bit season. He had a superb pre-season, showing his skill and more importantly his desire and work-rate for the team which every Evertonian always appreciates. Besic has been described by his new boss as having a "very natural balance about knowing that he can be strong and aggressive but in the same way he's a technical player on the ball." He was one of Bosnia's stand-out players during the World Cup, as he nearly kept the Argentinians quiet but for Lionel Messi's strike and also linked well with Edin Dzeko up-front. For £4M, he looks a bargain however although he may feature a fair bit, the majority of his appearances could be in the League and FA Cup. Nonetheless, a solid signing. Rating: B
