Spurs 3-0 Tromso: 5 Things We Learned

4. Holtby Deserves A Premier League Start

It really is about time Lewis Holtby got a Premier League start for Spurs. The German international midfielder gives everything for the Lilywhites whenever he's on the pitch and, more often than not, has a significant impact on the matches he plays. He scored an absolute peach against Dinamo Tbilisi and, in his 71 minutes on the pitch against Tromso, he played a part in both of the two goals scored during that time, passing to Lamela who subsequently set Defoe up for the first goal and playing a beautifully weighted pass through to Defoe for the second. If Spurs are to play a 4-2-3-1 formation, a trio of Holtby, Eriksen and Lamela behind the striker has the potential to be devastating.
