West Ham 1-3 Arsenal: Premier League Player Ratings

Joe Cole: Wide player was on the periphery of this one. You get the feeling if Downing was fit he would have this berth. 4/10.

Kevin Nolan: His shot led to the opening goal. Hammers skipper industrious on his return suspension. Subbed. 6/10.

Matt Jarvis: Got in behind Sagna a lot and worked Szczesny after good work from Noble second half at 1-0. Winger put in a good performance. 6/10. Carlton Cole: Good hold-up play, but isolated. Profited from Szczesny spilling Nolan's shot to tap in. Could've had two, but turned Rat's cross wide. As good as anyone in West Ham colours today. 6.5/10. Subs: Razvan Rat: Thrown on to replace the injured Collins late in the first half. Made a great chance for Carlton Cole at 1-0. Romania left back certainly staked his claim for the left back berth in an attacking sense here. Walcott scored twice after coming inside him, however. 5.5/10. Guy Demel: Got half an hour as Joey O'Brien taken off for his own good by Big Sam. This substitution rather backfired as Podolski got down his side to make Walcott's second goal. Probably Matthew Taylor: Thrown on for just 15 minutes at the end. Rating N/A. Click next for Arsenal player ratings.
