10 Greatest Ship Entrances In Star Trek

5. Titan - No Small Parts

Star Trek Lower Decks Titan

The first season of Lower Decks culminated with the Cerritos being ambushed by three Pakled clumpships. In a surprisingly tense set of scenes, it truly looked as though the jig might be up for our favourite animated vessel. Laser cutting beams were carving the ship apart, the beloved Shax had been killed in an explosion, and Rutherford's implant had been ripped clean from his head. Things were grim.

Then, Boimler sparked up with excitement and announced the arrival of the long-discussed, yet never seen, USS Titan. The Luna-class ship, designed years previously by Sean Tourangeau for the Titan novels, blasted onto the screen, and through the Pakleds. In a strangely prophetic moment, one of the Pakleds even cried out

Oh no! It's another Enterprise!

How little you knew, Pakled officer. How little you knew.

It was an awesome scene, full of excitement, and featuring the return of Jonathan Frakes and Marina Sirtis, reprising their roles. The design adapts perfectly to the animated style of Lower Decks, and the music, performances, and art all combine to make this a swooping, soaring scene.
