10 Greatest Ship Entrances In Star Trek

6. Federation HQ - Discovery

Can you imagine how bloody awesome it would have been to see Spacedock blast into the scene, a giant mushroom in space arriving to save the day? Well, that's effectively what Discovery offered with the arrival of Federation HQ Huron warping across the Quadrant to Earth, ready to start saving lives.

This writer was not expecting to see a space station like this move in the way it did. When it's compared to Deep Space Nine's short jaunt to the mouth of the Wormhole in Emissary, it just shows that a lot of advancements have been made in those thousand years.

The HQ is designed to work as a life-raft when needed, so when it arrives in Earth's orbit, ready to start saving lives, it displays this by having various segments breakaway to serve as independent life-saving craft, helping the Federation fleet evacuate the planet, while still retaining its overall shape.

This was truly one of the most fun, and surprising, moments in Star Trek: Discovery's fourth season, giving us not only an unexpected extra vessel, but leading directly to some wonderful scenes between Tilly and Dadmiral Vance.
