Sharon Acker appeared as Odona in The Original Series' episode The Mark Of Gideon. This third season episode is oft-forgotten, yet contains some of the most fun scenes aboard an almost deserted Enterprise. Acker's Odona spends time on this deserted ship with Kirk, though she would serve as a doomed sacrifice for an over-populated world.

Acker worked in shows like Mission: Impossible and appeared in the pilot for Galactica Discovers Earth, though that show failed to gain any traction.

No stranger to theatre, Acker appeared alongside Sean Connery in a production of Macbeth before appearing in guest roles as her career went on. She also appeared in LIFE magazine, modeling with Angie Dickenson.

Acker had four children, two from her first marriage, and two stepchildren from her second marriage. She died in March 2023, at 87 years of age.
