Star Trek: 10 Times Voyager Could Have Got Home

2. Just Turn Right

This is perhaps one of the earliest questions that audiences asked when it came to Star Trek: Voyager. This brand new ship, having dealt with the Ocampa situation, was faced with the mammoth task of traveling back to the Alpha Quadrant. To do this, they effectively fly in a straight line, aiming through the centre of the Galaxy.

Now, the ShaKaRee of it all aside, they had the coordinates of the Bajoran Wormhole in their databanks - why not simply fly to the Gamma Quadrant? We can even make the argument that it wouldn't have affected the show's storytelling either, as so little is known about the area between the Delta and Gamma Quadrants.

With hindsight, it may have helped them avoid Borg Space, the Krenim, and whichever Kazon sect was being a pain this week - or, seeing as we only received that information via Voyager, they could still have included them and just moved locations.

Honestly, those ideas aside, it's the fact that the Bajoran Wormhole was never even considered as an option - despite several Bajoran crewmembers there to jog peoples' memories - that's one of the oddest things here.
