007 Similarities Between Doctor Who And James Bond

7. The Eccentric Baddies

Both Bond and the Doctor would be nothing without some bonkers bad guys to thwart and it's fair to say that they both have a rogues gallery positively bursting at the seams with eccentrics, madmen and just plain crazies. The baddies are perhaps most comparable when examining the Master and Blofeld. These two nefarious numpties could be classed as the antitheses of the heroes in question and their similarities are subtle but many. Both regularly seek chaos and world domination, both regularly seem to overcomplicate their own plans (leading to their inevitable defeat) and they both have a penchant for monologuing. Aside from these two, the Doctor and 007 regularly go up against armies, henchmen, genetically altered animals and many more weird and wonderful adversaries along the way. While the Doctor battles baddies from across the universe, Bond's enemies tend to be Earthbound. Both, however, find themselves revisiting old foes time and time again. Now if only Blofeld could get the Daleks on his side. Bond wouldn't stand a chance!
