10 Actors Who Should Be The Next Doctor Who Companion

6. Ellie Kendrick

Ellie Kendrick would certainly be an interesting, left field choice for the next companion. We all know that they tend to go for very traditionally attractive young women to travel through time and space, because apparently even the sage old Doctor is that shallow. Something for the dads, if you will. Ellie Kendrick doesn't exactly fit into that mold, although she is admittedly absolutely adorable. What she brings to the table is a fierce intelligence, a steadfast determination, and the inability to take no for an answer, as we've seen in her two most prolific performances to date, on Being Human and Game of Thrones. Why wouldn't the Doctor want to have her along in the TARDIS? She seems like exactly the type that would thrive in that environment. Maybe she could even provide the opportunity for the show to bring in another companion from the future, someone with more advanced knowledge and intergalactic travel experience than the 21st century British girls we normally get.
