Antonia Thomas feels like the type of actress that Steven Moffat gravitates towards in terms of companions. She can certainly play the spunky, sexually liberated heroine that he tends to enjoy writing for. But she's also a classically trained actress who can bring a tremendous amount of vulnerability to the roles that she plays. She seems fun and casual, but there's a sense of mystery about her that draws audiences in deeper. Thomas is best know for her work as Alisha in the critically acclaimed E4 drama Misfits, and her departure was pretty much the death knell for the show.
