10 Actors Who Got Kicked Out Of Their Own TV Shows
8. Jeremy Clarkson - Top Gear
In case it needed saying, punching someone in the face is probably not the best way to go about getting something you want.
Yet, that still didn't stop Top Gear host Jeremy Clarkson from decking a producer back in March 2015 on the back of not being provided with the type of grub he so desired. The incident in question took place after a day of filming in North Yorkshire. Clarkson reportedly wanted a delicious hot steak, but was instead offered some soup and a cold meat platter due to the chef of the Yorkshire hotel they were staying at having already gone home.
Clearly irked by the situation, the host took aim at producer Oisin Tymon both verbally and physically which resulted in Tymon taking himself to the hospital to treat a busted lip and some swelling.
Clarkson was suspended before eventually being outright sacked by the BBC, with the star paying £100,000 to settle a racial discrimination and personal injury claim made by Tymon and apologising to the producer too.
Despite Clarkson, Richard Hammond, and James May all leaving for Amazon Prime's The Grand Tour, the BBC would continue producing Top Gear with a host of new faces, currently setting with the trio of Paddy McGuinness, Freddie Flintoff, and Chris Harris.
