10 Actors Who Had ONE Condition For Joining TV Shows

8. Julianna Margulies Had To Wear A Wig - The Good Wife

Julianna Margulies absolutely crushed it on The Good Wife as litigator Alicia Florrick, but her one big demand for signing on to the show might surprise you - she needed Alicia to wear a wig.

Margulies had it written into her contract that she would don a hairpiece for the role.

The reason for this? She wanted to distance herself from her iconic ER character nurse Carol Hathaway, who was so well recognised for her distinctive curly black hair.

The Good Wife's Alicia, by comparison, has straight brown hair, and for the show's pilot episode the wig had to be flown into the Vancouver set from London, where it was made, at considerable expense.

Given that Alicia's hairstyle is one of her most distinctive traits and it absolutely helped differentiate her from Carol Hathaway, it was most certainly a smart - if unexpected - request on Margulies' part.
