Sex and the City's sequel series And Just Like That... was a bittersweet offering for fans given that one of the central quartet - Kim Cattrall, who played fan favourite Samantha Jones - opted not to reprise her role.

This was allegedly due to behind-the-scenes issues between Cattrall and star Sarah Jessica Parker, and yet, fans were given a neat surprise at the end of the show's second season, when Samantha made an unexpected cameo appearance.

The scene, which lasts barely a minute and takes place entirely in a car, sees Samantha talk to Parker's Carrie over the phone - a scene for which Cattrall was reportedly paid $1 million dollars.

But it wasn't purely the dump-truck full of cash for a few hours' work which persuaded Cattrall to make the cameo - it was her insistence that she be reunited with Sex and the City's original costume designer Pat Field, who otherwise didn't work on the sequel series.

Cattrall's request was evidently granted, ensuring that Samantha looked as typically slick and stylish as ever in her brief reappearance.
