4. Julia Roberts Wanted Matthew Perry To Explain Quantum Physics To Her - Friends
Julia Roberts made an unforgettable one-off appearance on Friends as Susie Moss, one of Chandler's (Matthew Perry) childhood classmates who has quite the score to settle against him - and boy, that she does.
Naturally landing one of the most famous A-listers on the planet for a Friends episode was a major get, especially as the episode in question - "The One After the Superbowl" - indeed aired the same night as the 1996 Super Bowl.
But in the late Matthew Perry's 2022 memoir Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, he revealed that Roberts had an incredibly peculiar request for appearing on the show.
Perry, who was thrilled to be potentially working with Roberts, sent her three dozen roses in the hope of courting her favour, but she replied that she'd only star in the episode if he explained quantum physics to her.
And so, the next day Perry faxed her a paper on quantum physics that he researched and wrote, which she responded to by sending him bagels - and, of course, accepting the part.
