10 Actors Who Sneakily Played Two Characters In A TV Show

You're probably thinking that it's pretty obvious that Yael Grobglas played more than one character on Jane The Virgin. Yael stared on the show as Petra Solano, and during the first few seasons Petra was one of the show's main antagonists. But thankfully, the show reworked her character as a sympathetic and endearing mother and friend.

One way that the writers tried to rebrand Petra was by breaking her down emotionally. They introduced her mafia ex-boyfriend, forced her to care for her diabolical mother Magda and introduced her to her long lost twin sister; Anezka.

Grobglas pulled double duty as the two opposite twins, and to hilarious results. But I'm not here to talk about Grobglas' portrayal of the twin sisters - what we're talking about here, is the hilarious scene from the Jane The Virgin series finale.

The scene shows Magda trekking through a blizzard to an undisclosed location. The whole scene is played as a gag. You see Magda's peg leg struggle through the snow, and her hook hand rap against a mysterious wooden door, and it's all very melodramatic. But the scene does more than make you laugh, it introduces you to a new character.

Petra and Anezka's triplet brother: Pyotr. It's a blink and you miss it character introduction and as the show goes, it's a pretty inconsequential one considering it happens in the last few minutes of the last episode. But one thing it does do is treat the audience to Grobglas dressed up as a man; a very convincing one too. It's a subtle but clever cameo for sure!
