Emilia Clark is one of Game Of Thrones’ most beloved actresses both on and off screen. People fell in love with Emilia through her character of Daenerys Targaryen, the Mother Of Dragons, and outside of the show people fell in love with her philanthropic personality thanks to social media platforms and media presence.

However, although she is one of the actors who loved appearing on Game Of Thrones, her time throughout filming was marred by two very serious incidents as Clark suffered two near-fatal brain aneurysms during filming, one of which needed surgical intervention to fix. The first came whilst filming season 1: to relieve stress, she starting working out with a personal trainer and the first aneurysm struck during one of these workouts. Clark was rushed to hospital. She recovered, but had temporary memory loss as a result.

After season 3, Clark went a for a brain scan which were now routine after her first attack. This time, the doctors found something in her brain that required surgery. However, the surgery went wrong and she began to hemorrhage, requiring more life-threatening surgery to fix. After it all, however, Clark survived and rested up fully before going back to the show. Although it is mere coincidence that this happened during her time with the show, its nonetheless a horrifying thing she had to endure that still has ramifications to this day.
