10 Adult Animated Comedies To Try After Bojack Horseman

5. Tuca & Bertie (2019)

Created by Lisa Hanawalt, the cartoonist behind Bojack Horseman, Tuca & Bertie focusses in on the lives of two thirty-something best friends: Tuca a flakey, spontaneous toucan and Bertie an uptight and worrisome songbird.

The show pounds along like a hyperactive child, pausing now and again to cast a subversive eye on a variety of relatable issues including relationships, mental health, inadequacy and the fear of being left behind by our peers.

Despite being generally well-received on release, Netflix cruelly cancelled Tuca & Bertie after just one season but even without the promise of future episodes, it's a great show still worth checking out.

If you simply crave more of that Bojack-style anthropomorphic animation and off-beat, zany humour then look no further.
