10 Adult Animated Comedies To Try After Bojack Horseman

4. Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law (2000)

Harvey Birdman, Attorney At Law takes the 1960s Hanna-Barbera cartoon Birdman and The Galaxy Trio and turns the concept on its head by thrusting its weird and wonderful characters out of the skies and into the courtroom.

Our hero, the titular Birdman, is now a criminal defence lawyer representing a colourful cast of classic cartoon characters (including Top Cat) and we watch as he defends them against a series of dastardly villains from the original show.

For those who grew up with re-runs of original Hanna-Barbera cartoons like The Flintstones, Top Cat or Scooby-Doo there's a real sense of nostalgia that radiates out from the voice acting, the animation style and the humour.

With its bizarre concept and madcap stories, this show is utterly surreal but it's also extremely witty and there's really nothing else out there quite like it.
