8. The Kirlian Frequency

This Argentinian animated series was originally a web series in 2017 before moving to Netflix early 2019. Unfortunately, it ended up getting entombed underneath all the countless other titles on the streaming giant. Fortunately however, now you know of it.

Think of The Kirlian Frequency as something akin to Welcome to Nightvale. The series is framed through a radio broadcast in small town somewhere within Buenos Aires where strange, unsettling events are commonplace.

The series manages to craft its own unique mythology in just five brief episodes, taking well-known horror concepts and twisting them into something truly original.

Though, what really stands out in The Kirlian Frequency is its style. The visuals consistently border on psychedelic and the score has this vaporwave sound to it that's just to die for. These two elements mix together to create something that's genuinely hard to take your eyes off, as every frame is hauntingly beautiful while the music enhances the visuals through its hypnotic harmony.

With a run-time of less than an hour you can knock out the whole show in less time than you could an episode of most of the other series on this list. So, adjust your set accordingly and tune into 'The Kirlian Frequency'.
