10 Amazing TV Shows You Won't Believe Only Had Two Seasons

6. Party Down

Party Down is a gem of a comedy series that aired on American Premium network Starz between 2009 and 2010. Despite being well-received by critics, like so many other critical hits the show was given the axe because of low ratings. Tahat, and the fact that Adam Scott went on the NBC's Parks And Recreation and Jane Lynch went to Glee. Party Down follows caterers in LA who all happen to be aspiring Hollywood actors and writers. Among them are Scott and Lynch, but also Lizzy Caplan, Martin Starr, Ken Marino and Ryan Hansen. Each week took the catering group to a new party, function or get-together, and with such a variety in locations came a great variety in comedy. At the core of the show is Henry (Scott) and Casey (Caplan), and their "will-they, won't-they" chemistry, but the thing is that the show really doesn't have much of a heart. The characters are mostly selfish and narcissistic and they do some pretty rotten things; it's where most of the laughs come from though, and Party Down was never afraid to go there if it meant delivering the funnies.
