After learning that they were the one who murdered his best friend, May Hughes, Colonel Mustang almost disintegrates Envy with an unrelenting explosions. It also doesn't help that they disguise themselves as his fallen companion during the confrontation.

We all knew that Roy Mustang doesn't mess around when he gets serious, just think back to what he did to Lust as an example. But, this level of rage-fulled savagery is unlike anything that he'd displayed before. He doesn't just want to destroy Envy, he wants annihilate them, and boy does he.

Mustang's incendiary attacks are so viscous that they manage to boil Envy's insides. If Baki's beating of Muhammad Ali Jr. was relentless, this somehow takes it ten steps further. The Colonel holds nothing back as he gets his long sought after revenge.

As Envy screams and begs for mercy, it's almost hard to not feel sorry for them on some level. They're enduring something that would kill a human a hundred times over, and it's clear that the pain is excruciating. Then again, they did make a widow out of Hughes wife and take his adorable child's father away from them, so maybe don't feel too bad.
