5. Inuyashiki - Hiro Shishigami
Hiro Shishigami is much like most boys his entire life. Until his entire body gets reconstructed using alien weaponry, that is.
He gains much from this life-changing event, superhuman strength, speed, the ability of flight, to name a few. The most impactful change, however, is his sociopathic nature.
Experiencing such a rapid transformation overnight, Hiro feels both a great superiority to most humans and feels that he himself is something less than human. Due to this mental shift, not only does he disregard human life, but he actively murders entire families just to feel alive.
After killing so many people, his actions bring about the suicide of his own mother and the killing of his only friend in the world. After healing her, Hiro seeks revenge on the police, slaughtering almost 100 in total.
Given both his general callous nature and nigh indestructibility, it would come as a shock to anyone that he could die. Perhaps even more shocking is his final choice, to save the world at the cost of his own life; self-destructing to save the few that he still cares about. A mass murderer sacrificing oneself for the good of humanity.
