10 Awesome TV Shows You Could Be Binging On Right Now

2. That '70s Show

That '70s Show is a unique twist on a normal premise. Taking what some could call the very average sitcom prompt of a group of teenagers and a few parents in the suburban Midwest, That '70s Show upped the ante by setting it in the 1970s. Originally called Teenage Wasteland, the title was changed when everyone kept referring to it as That '70s Show. It offers a certain level of nostalgia for viewers (at least those who were alive in the '70s), and it also allows old things to become new again (like Star Wars). For better or for worse, depending on your opinion, it made Ashton Kutcher a part of our lives. But it also made Mila Kunis and ass-kicking jokes a part of our lives as well, so you take the good with the bad. What really made this show enjoyable though, were the characters and relationships. The '70s was just a setting, it wasn't a gimmick. They tried to recreate the magic with That '80s Show, but all that was was a gimmick, and it flopped pretty quickly. But nothing can taint the joy you feel every time Red threatens to kick Eric's ass, every Tommy Chong appearance, and every glorious shenanigan in Point Place, Wisconsin. Binging Advice: Do yourself a favor and skip the last season. Or, just stop after Donna dies her hair blonde. I'm not sure why, but that's when the magic died. Seasons 1-8 available on Netflix.
