2. Trudy Tells Pete "I Will Destroy You" €“ Mad Men

You have to feel sorry for Trudy Campbell, being married to Pete. It's an up-and-down relationship in which he occasionally throws dinner off the balcony and gets other women pregnant. Meanwhile, all she wants is a family. After one fling too many, Trudy understandably sends her slimy husband packing, but not without style: "We're done, Peter. This is over," she tells him, before explaining, "I'm drawing a 50-mile radius around this house, and if you so much as open your fly to urinate, I will destroy you. Do you understand?" She barely raises her voice, let alone a hand to attack him, but when he retaliates, telling her that she'll regret it when she goes to bed, she coldly replies, "I'll live with that." Boom. It's a long overdue comeback, but what makes it quite so wonderful is that it's done with such grace and coolness. Trudy is unbelievably dignified in this argument - something she prides herself on - when it would be understandable to hit the roof, and that's what makes it quite so awesome.
