Jen was a shining beacon for the girls watching Power Rangers. Predominately a show aimed at young boys, Jen proved that the female Rangers weren't all cute and cuddly and immensely feminine. Although she wasn't the first female Ranger to led a team of Rangers (that title would go to the Mighty Morphin Alien Rangers), she was the first female leader who got any substantial character development. Her romance with Wes gave depth to the character, while her own traits and persona as a Ranger remain a high point of Power Rangers in terms of character. Such a personality wouldn't go unnoticed behind-the-scenes, as Time Force's follow up, Wild Force, also sported a no-nonsense female Ranger, but Jen remains perhaps the greatest Pink Power Ranger of them all, simply because she rarely played to Pink Ranger stereotypes.
