10 Behind The Scenes Dramas That Ruined Great TV Shows

8. Gossip Girl - The Music Bizz Took Precedence

While actors are taken more seriously for their chosen craft, it cannot be denied that singers garner more fame AND more money - especially against small screen acting. It seems the ladies of Gossip Girl were clued into this fact, and two of the stars attempted to juggle the show with their blossoming music careers. Leighton Meester was beginning her country/pop music career and Taylor Momsen and her band The Pretty Reckless were producing punk/rock music.

Gossip Girl was extremely supportive of Meester's career and even used a few of her songs on the show. This apparently did not go down well with Momsen who felt the show was not supporting her the same; this ignited a feud between the girls.

Unfortunately, Momsen just couldn't mesh her two careers together with the same grace as her co-star. As the show developed, her own personality started bleeding more and more into her once-innocent character Jenny and her attitude was becoming toxic on set. Momsen eventually "left" the show for good and rumours still continue to spread now as to why she did - including that she became a satanic worshiper. Which, isn't really on brand with the upper-east-side style of Gossip Girl.

After the exit of Jenny's character, the show lost its heart. Jenny was always supposed to be the character that the audience related to; the normal girl that got swept up in the drama of the upper-class. Without this anchor, the show became more and more ludicrous in regards to plot, and people today still believe the awful reveal, of who was Gossip Girl, fell apart because Jenny was always supposed to take that role. Even the Gossip Girl actor himself didn't believe the ending.

Lily thought it was about time she wrote Top Ten lists for people other than herself. She also owes her dog a lot of money so she thought it was about time to pay her dues. There is no tv show she likes that she hasn't seen at least twice.
