He's been there since the start and he's played some of the most likeable characters on the show - who knew you could love a school shooter so much? - and in the latest season, Hotel, he is just to die for. In Hotel, he plays Mr. James Patrick March, a character who is heavily based on serial killer H.H. Holmes, a man known for building a hotel solely for the purpose of killing his guests. Evan portrays him with as much class and ignorance as you would expect a serial killer of the 1920's to have, but what really makes Evan a great actor is his ability to morph from a teenage heartthrob to a full-blown Oscar-worthy performer in pretty much anything he plays in. A chameleon of an actor, Evan has played murderous teenager, a man who is framed as a serial killer (and then gets abducted by aliens), a university student whose romantic involvement with a witch turns him into a Frankenstein project and a rebellious human oddity who makes a living by "pleasuring" wealthy women all in American Horror Story alone, and then he still did a fantastic job as Quicksilver in one of the X-Men films, a role that he will reprise in X-Men: Apocalypse.
