The biggest surprise on this list is television newcomer Lady Gaga. Known for her edgy dress sense and can't-get-them-out-of-your-head radio hits, nobody (except maybe die-hard fans and those that have seen her over-the-top stage performances) really believed that the Pokerface singer could actually act, did they? Well, it's safe to say that she proved them wrong. In her role as The Countess, Gaga makes making a meal out of her lovers look uber-sophisticated. The Countess is mysterious and sexy, but also creepy as hell as she kidnaps little platinum blonde kids for her growing collection. While other fans are still hung up on Lange being able to play the role better, you can't argue that Lady Gaga is doing a superb job.
