A weaving and intricate plot mystery that keeps you entertained, and a lead character that is just tough. Bosch is made for the weekday night, sitting in with the other half, a drink in hand and wanting your fix of in-your-face storytelling just before bed.
It follows the tale of Harry Bosch, a hardcore detective that is drawn into the case of his life when the bones of a young boy are discovered and he is forced into a game of cat and mouse with the suspected killer.
As each season of Bosch goes by, they do follow different stories based upon the original book series, and you feel like this is TV from another era in a way. This feels like it harks back to series like The Sheild rather than something more modern, and that is exactly why it is so good. Sometimes bringing a classic style back in modern clothing just works.
Bosch is adapted from the original novels by Michael Connelly and really makes an effort to feel like the books, akin to walking through a hallway in the dark, you just don't see where the next move or threat is coming from.
Well made and surprisingly bold, Bosch is an underrated gem for Prime.
