4. Vash Vs Knives - Trigun
But who needs magic swords when you got a gunfight with pistols that can punch craters in the f*cking moon?
Trigun is full of awesome shootouts with creative superpowers and gunplay. But none of them come close to the final battle between our hero Vash and his genocidal brother Knives.
The two immortal super soldiers have been at ideological odds with each other for centuries. Knives believing him and his brother to be superior to humanity, and thus humanity needs to die, and Vash disagreeing so heavily that he refuses to even take the life of the objectively wicked. After all, if you HAVE the power to keep everyone alive - is it not your moral responsibility to do exactly that?
The fight is the epitome of suspense. The two throw every trick they have at each other, finally coming down to the two whipping out their ultimate weapon, the angel arms.
As explosive and world shaking as the fight is, the suspense is maintained perfectly by the simple fact that one well placed bullet will win the fight. But of course, that adds an extra level of suspense: will Vash be forced to kill his own brother to save humanity?
If you somehow haven't seen Trigun yet, I won't spoil, but needless to say that this fight does not disappoint.
