3. Jotaro Vs Dio - JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Stardust Crusaders
Just as every shonen manga and anime is still reacting to the impact of Jojo's Part 3: Stardust Crusaders in some way shape or form, so too is every shonen hero vs final villain fight still heavily influenced by the final fight between Jotaro Kujo and Dio Brando.
After one of the longest arcs in the series, Jotaro has finally come face to face with the eternal thorn in his family's side, Dio Brando. The fight that ensues throughout the streets of Cairo is among one of the famous in anime history. mostly because it's one of the only times we see the normally stoic Jotaro actually put on his back foot.
Dio's stand, The World, and its ability to stop time at will makes for the perfect counterbalance to the lightning fast and hard hitting star platinum. Before the fight is even halfway over, three of Jotaro's posse are already dead (one of which being a little dog, because what was Araki gonna do? NOT brutally murder the dog?) and Jotaro is forced to stop his own heart just to make Dio turn his back long enough for a counterattack.
It's a long, brutal, drag out fight, but of course Jotaro eventually comes out on top. For now at least, because rule #1 of Jojo's: Dio will ALWAYS be back.
