Bones

In a world where everyone has some kind of supernatural power, Deku, the lovable, goofy protagonist does not. Deku wants to be strong, he wants to be a hero. And while everyone around him is discovering their powers and growing stronger, he studies and tries to be a hero through knowledge, which is the only thing he can do.

In a turn of events, the world greatest hero, All Might, gives Deku the gift of his powers. But the challenges that comes with seizing and using these powers takes Deku on a crazy, unpredictable journey. Deku must fight to overcome huge obstacles, stronger fighters, and people who don’t believe he has what it takes to wield All Might's powers.

A boy who had nothing, suddenly gets the chance to realize his dreams of being a hero and the protector of justice and good, but he will need to climb and fight every step of the way. The show features bright animation and abundant humor, yet the emotional scenes are deep and real, showing the struggles of a young boy reaching for his dreams.

I like to think of myself as a world traveler and social butterfly, although I do spend a lot of my time watching the latest Japanese anime series, sitcoms, movies, and drama series. I live on the island of Crete, where I was born, and enjoy walking on the beach with my little cocker spaniel, Molly, when I'm not writing for WhatCulture.com and UNILAD.co.uk.
