7. New Caprica's End
The entire New Caprica storyline is easily the best part of the entire Battlestar Galactica series. When humanity found a new homeworld to live in, calling it New Caprica, it quickly is invaded by the Cylons.
Thus the Cylons found humanity's new hope for life on a planet and turned it into a hellish internment camp where many beloved characters are forced to make controversial decisions as they were taken out of their comfort zones physically and mentally.
But the end of the New Caprica storyline is beautiful and epic. The sight of the Galactica jumping right into the planet's atmosphere and launching its vipers to save the humans trapped on the planet's surface is truly breathtaking and equally unexpected.
The rebellion of New Caprica is chaotic, brutal and a big fan-pleasing moment where several storylines at the time reach their biggest moments. Characters then have to deal with the consequences of their actions as either oppressors or freedom fighters on New Caprica.
