10 Best Battlestar Galactica Moments
3. Cally's Death
Callandra Henderson Tyrol, aka Cally, was a small, cute deckhand aboard the Galactica. She was yet another side character who underwent tremendous changes in her life aboard the Galactica, including becoming a mother to a child who was at first thought to have been Galen Tyrol's half Cylon son.
Yet Cally had no idea her husband Galen was a Cylon. In fact, she simply assumed he was having an affair with another woman who was also one of the final five Cylons, Tory Foster.
Cally discovered a strange note giving her a specific time and place to go aboard the Galactica, which led to her shocking discovery about her husband's true nature.
Appalled by everything that has happened to her and the possible fate of her son, Cally attempts to kill herself and her son via a Viper launch tube. She was stopped by Foster, who calmed down Cally and took her son, Nicky, away from his mother.
Then, completely out of nowhere Foster knocks Cally back into the launch tube with one hand, and shoots her out into the vacuum of space.
Of all the people amongst the fleet of morally grey humans who might have deserved death, Cally certainly wasn't one of them and Foster's callous act of murder was certainly one of the most shocking ends to an episode of Battlestar Galactica fans had ever seen.
