This theme song is like a time-capsule look at the energy and fun of the early 2000s, as the pop punk vibe is very in keeping with the culture of the time. Simple Plan's song kicks a tonne of energy at you and pumps you up for the adventure that Mystery Incorporated will be taking you on.
The classic Hanna-Barbera cartoon has gone through many stages in its lifetime, each one bringing a completely different energy to the fore. While the original version of the theme certainly has a tonne of charm and is easily memorable, the new version for the What's New Scooby-Doo? version of the show completely and utterly steals the spotlight.
Scooby-Doo has never been a show that centres on intensity and action, but What's New Scooby Doo? would leave you hard-pressed not to think that they've been at the forefront of the franchise for decades.
Despite the disparity between the theme and the show itself, this song is at least an enjoyable piece that is easily one of the best theme songs that Scoob and the gang have ever seen.
