10 Best Characters From Michael Schur TV Shows

7. Michael (The Good Place)

Ron Swanson Leslie Knope
NBC

The Good Place would be nothing without its architect. In this case, that's Michael. The designer of the afterlife neighborhood the show's main characters live in, Michael's quest to do a good job is hampered by his lack of understanding of what it means to be human. Unfortunately, it seems like he's barely in touch with what it takes to be an architect, let alone humanity.

His lack of experience is a huge issue. This is the first time he's designed his own neighborhood and it's filled with problems.

The Season 1 twist that revolves around Michael and his designs blew minds, and fully drew people in for the next three seasons. He's an absurd, engaging character that is way too into paperclips to be healthy, even for an immortal entity. He is absolutely one of those characters who fans are just waiting on every word for what insane thing he's going to say next.
