8. Jeremy Simmons

Much like the Schmitty Kids, Jeremy Simmons, played by Aaron Himelstein, is another one-off Season 1 villain who works well as a character because of how unlikable he is. Unlike the Schmitty kids, Simmons is eloquent and intelligent, able to sway debate judges at the drop of a hat, which somehow makes him all the more hateable.

Simmons appears in the episode Debate 109, which sees Jeff and Annie team up against him for a Greendale vs. City College debate. Simmons' reputation is legendary, and he successfully out-argues Jeff, a professional lawyer, during the first day of the competition, convincing the judges that "man is good." However, when he torments Jeff and Annie for their poor performance, bringing up Annie's past addiction, he ironically helps to prove Jeff and Annie's point to the audience that "man is evil."

This tormenting leads Jeff and Annie to prepare harder than ever for the second part of the debate, accidentally developing feelings for each other in the process. Then, at the climactic debate finale, it seems that Jeff and Annie have Simmons outmatched, until the devious City College student flings himself out of his wheelchair in a last ditch attempt for Jeff to catch him, proving that man is good since Jeff will save a person he hates. However, Annie wins the day, by kissing Jeff and forcing him to drop Simmons hard onto the floor, showing that man is evil after all.

It's so satisfying to watch Simmons lose, and that's because of how well crafted a character he is in his one episode.
