10 Best Doctor Who Characters In One Scene Only

9. Raston Warrior Robot (The Five Doctors)

Doctor Who The Woman Who Fell To Earth Salad Man
BBC

Doctor Who does this thing a lot, where it introduces a brand-new monster and calls it "the deadliest/most feared/most powerful creature in the galaxy" (you'd think the Doctor would stop saying that at some point, considering that there's a new contender every other episode).

Back in 1983's The Five Doctors, we met one of the first villains to hold such a title, with the Third Doctor labelling the Raston Warrior Robot as "the most perfect killing machine ever devised."

Now, we shouldn't judge a book by its cover of course, but this humanoid in a big grey body condom doesn't exactly give off "deadly killer" vibes, does he? However, ol' Rasty immediately proves that first impression wrong when he annihilates a group of Cybermen, flinging arrows in a manner that would make Robin Hood himself jealous.

The Raston Warrior Robot also has the ability to teleport, which he does by jumping into the air with the exact same energy as a schoolkid playing hopscotch. He hasn't been seen since this Cybermen massacre, although former (and future) showrunner Russell T Davies has expressed interest in bringing this monster back.

So, maybe Series 14 will be round two for Raston. Watch this space.
