The Doctor has faced many villains, armies, dictators and more across his/her nearly sixty-year history. But that doesn’t mean they got all of them. Some have been left up to various friends and allies across time and space.

Over the total course of ten seasons and a hundred and two episodes total of The Sarah Jane Adventures, Torchwood and Class we saw some strong opposition to the three teams of Earth defenders.

Many of whom are seen as iconic and memorable in their own right. And here are some of the very best the expanded universe has to offer.

This is the top ten Doctor Who spinoff villains.

After using his anger to murder his inmates he found himself crashing through a tear in space and into Miss Quill’s classroom.

Seizing his opportunity he trapped five of the six Coal Hill Defenders in his prison dimension with the intent of having them go mad and murder each other using the Prison asteroid, sorry meteor, to get them to confess they’re true emotions of each other and increase their built up anger.

And why? He wanted someone with a deep sense of guilt to kill him (in this case Charlie Smith who secretly wanted to wipe out the Shadow Kin) and give him the only freedom, he could have. We never find out who The Prisoner was, where he came from or what crime he committed. Making Him one of the more mysterious villains to appear in the franchise.
