Orphan Black is one of the best science fiction series on television today, and it's all owed to the impressive range of the star of the show, Tatiana Maslany, as she shows her acting chops by playing multiple characters (who are clones on the show) with completely different personalities. From a punk rocker to a Russian hitman to a domicile American housewife, it's amazing how one actress can portray so many different archetypes. Finally, the major awards have paid attention, as Maslany is finally nominated for Outstanding Actress in a Drama Series by the Emmy awards. Season 3's return to Clone Club delves deeper into Dyad, as well as introduces a male set of clones, all played by Ari Millen. The main protagonist female clone, Sarah Manning, attempts to figure out the origin of the clones, as they seek out the original clone. The season takes a little detour by having a minor B storyline for Alison, the housewife, where she attempts to run for school board trustee while at the same time juggling a drug operation, Breaking Bad style. It's nice comic relief but the stakes don't really get as high as every other clone this season. Still though, it's a refreshing show that's different from anything else on television, and Season 3 continues its impressive run.
