10 Best Entourage Episodes
2. "Busey And The Beach"
The big winner of the Entourage cast was Jeremy Piven, who managed to get back on track a stalling career with his firebrand performance as Ari Gold. While he’s a scene stealer from the start, his best moment in the series so far comes in “Busey And The Beach”, when he castigates a former employee for attempting to poach Vince.
In a neat long shot, Ari crashes a party, stalks his prey through a fancy beach house, then lacerates rival agent Josh Weinstein for his shady business practises. Piven tears into a hilarious speech with gusto, breaking his opponent down to a nub, before returning to Vince and Eric to conduct business as usual as the seeds are set for Vince’s indie masterpiece Queen’s Boulevard.
Elsewhere, a great cameo from a game Gary Busey gives the episode even more laughs, with the famously intense actor teaching Turtle some puzzling life lessons.
It’s an episode which is relatively light on incident, but packed with defining character moments and Piven at his ruthless motormouth best. Drama even manages to get an audition at the end of it, which is really going some.
