10 Best Episodes Of Prematurely Cancelled TV Shows

3. Dorkus - Scream Queens

Dollhouse Tv Show
Fox

Scream Queens was created by Ian Brennan, Ryan Murphy, Brad Falchuk, the creators of Glee. Murphy and Falchuk also created American Horror Story, and Scream Queens is essentially those two shows in a blender.

A gore filled, murder mayhem horror show with the bright and peppy colour palette with a heavy focus on teen drama and fashionable outfits, it’s perhaps unsurprising that Scream Queens failed to really find an audience. Based off the second season, you’d be hard pressed to really argue that it was cancelled prematurely, but going off the first season it was clear the show had a lot of potential.

The problem was the sharp change of setting between the seasons and similar narrative made it harder to care about the already flimsy plot. In AHS style, Season 1 was set in a sorority house, and Season 2 in a hospital. The problem was, unlike AHS using the same cast as different characters, Scream Queens had the exact same characters, all randomly moving to a new setting.

Dorkus though, was the show at its (relatively short) peak. The slightly ridiculous motive for the murders is revealed, and the classic multiple killers trope is lampshaded in Scream Queens typical campy wit.
