10 Best Final Seasons In TV History

2. Breaking Bad (Season 5)

Breaking Bad is just one of those that got better and better as time went on. While it arguably peaked in the show's fourth season with the war against Gus Fring, the drug epic's swansong is still a sight to behold.

With Walter and Jesse pretty much on top at this point, it was inevitable that things could only go downhill. Both Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul remain on form throughout as they deal with the consequences of running their own meth operation, before things start to spiral out of control for the pair.

With the DEA finally onto them, along with a betrayal by a group of neo-nazis, Walt's world crumbles in the lead-up to possibly the greatest episode in the show, Ozymandias. With one of the most heart-wrenching deaths in the show, things only get worse from there, as Walt realises how much damage his actions have caused to those around him and himself. It makes his whole story a tragedy, and remains one of the greatest finales ever.

Many people might have thought this would take the top spot, but in this author's opinion, there's one other which just takes the win...
