10 Best Fusions In Steven Universe

Fusions on Gem Homeworld were held to strict standards. Gems could only fuse with others of the same type. Cross Gem fusion was considered to be not only an abomination, but insinuated the Gems were defective.

But how could anyone look at Fluorite and think abomination? The lovable, slow-talking Fluorite was introduced in the 3rd episode of season 5, "Off Colors." She and a group of other Gem fusions hid away from others, only trying to live their lives in peace.

Fluorite is the fusion of 6 unknown Gems (unknown to fans, but not to the creators of the show), the highest number known of in the entire series. Her appearance is one of a caterpillar with 6 segments each a different color. She has 4 arms, 3 pairs of legs, and 3 pairs of eyes, but only 2 pairs are constantly open.

Though she is made of 6 Gems, she is not the largest Gem fusion on the show. She chooses to remain permanently fused, but is open to adding more Gems if she meets the right ones.

The voice actor of Fluorite is the American actress Kathleen Fisher. The wise, calm Gem was featured in five episodes of Steven Universe, but was only seen in the background of Steven Universe: The Movie.
