10 Best Fusions In Steven Universe

The long awaited Crystal Gem fusion made her fiery appearance in the season 5 Finale, "Change Your Mind."

The fusion of Amethyst, Garnet, Pearl, and Steven, she is the largest fusion shown in the series. Though she was teased slightly in the episode "Historical Friction," as a silhouette figure, fans will recognize her appearance from one other place that features in almost EVERY episode. The Crystal Temple, where Steven and the Crystal Gems call home, was built in the likeness of the fusion (the version with Rose Quartz instead of Steven).

Obsidian is nearly the size of a mountain with 8 arms, 4 eyes, and 2 faces (one face similar to a mask with a nonfunctional mouth). Her skin is gray and hair charcoal black, both reminiscent of lava rock. Glowing orange lines cover her body like lava flows. She has a 3rd mouth in the seam between her two faces with rows of sharp teeth and bubbling lava flowing freely.

Her weapon of choice is a giant, red-hot great sword. The hilt is made of the combination of Pearl's spear, Garnet's gauntlets, Amethyst's whip, and Steven's shield while the blade is formed from the lava inside of Obsidian's third mouth.

She is unable to talk, only emitting growls and roars, but she is able to recognize her allies and protect them. She is the strongest fusion shown in the show.
