Why It's Great: This is it. This was the moment that changed Game of Thrones forever.
In killing Ned Stark, who was pretty much the main character, the show established itself as one in which anyone can die. No one is safe. And this was only the beginning.
But maybe we should have seen it coming. He was played by Sean Bean, after all.
