10 Best Hannibal Episodes

Bundled in with the first two seasons' collection of one-time villains, Fromage revolves around a sadistic killer who exposes a victim's chords in order to literally play them like a cello. The sight of any one of this killer's victims is brilliantly grotesque, but what really helps Fromage stand out from the crowd is the fact that all the classical music, the skill in execution and high end delicacies present makes this feel like one of the most fitting episodes for a character like Hannibal Lecter.

For Will, Fromage also marks the first time he and Alana Bloom hit it off romantically. Seeing their relationship grow against a backdrop of so much confusion and uncertainty for Will is one of the few genuinely warm moments in the series.

And then there's that standoff between Hannibal and Tobias in the doctor's office. Seeing two raging psychopaths fighting to the death is exactly what Hannibal is all about, and this sequence is choreographed and performed to absolute perfection. From the tussling about with Tobias' wire, the dancing around his small knife, to the gritty punches thrown around during the fight's climax, it's undoubtedly one of the highest points of the entire show.

Seeing Hannibal go hand to hand with a foe is something fans of the character had never seen before, and it really goes a long way in helping Mads Mikkelsen's take on the good doctor shine.
