Fear Itself is the second anthology horror series created by Mick Garris - with the first being one we shall come to later. It certainly had some charm to it and featured plenty of frightening moments. The show ran for one season in 2008 for a whole thirteen episodes. This appropriate quantity was the only amount that the show had as it was cancelled in 2009.

The series followed the footsteps of Garris' previous TV show by hiring well-known members of the industry to direct episodes within it. Some notable names include John Landis, Stuart Gordan, Brad Anderson and Rob Schmit. To add to the star power of the series were many prominent actors within the show including Anna Kendrick, Elizabeth Moss, Jesse Plemons and many more.

The show was ultimately OK. It had some great concepts but never fully managed to deliver on its scares. Named after the famous Franklin D Roosevelt quote "The only thing we have to fear, is fear itself" this show did not live up to the prestige of its title, but certainly makes for an enjoyable exploration of the macabre.
