10 Best It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Characters Only In One Episode

Flowers For Charlie is one of the rare Sunny episodes not written by the central cast, but it produced an all-time great performance from Charlie Day and gave us a fantastic one off guest role from Burn Gorman as Charlie’s Scientist.

Conducting an experiment into Charlie’s intelligence, Gorman offers the perfect foil for Charlie’s eccentric performance. He’s not just a flat surface either, but goes so far the other way that he becomes hilarious in his own way. The ultra straight laced delivery only makes Charlie’s manic behaviour even funnier.

The only downside is that it’s a little jarring seeing Gorman in this very prim and proper role, when he’s best known elsewhere as ‘you know what’s wrong with honour?’ Karl Tanner from Game Of Thrones.

Philly and Westeros clearly have some deep links though, as Flowers For Charlie was written by Game Of Thrones showrunners David Benioff & DB Weiss, who later starred as lifeguards at the water park.

Thrones writer Bryan Cogman made a cameo in IASIP too, while Charlie Day & Rob McElhenney appeared in Thrones too.

It’s definitely not always sunny in Westeros though.
