10 Best It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia Characters Only In One Episode
7. Jojo
Dax Shepard doesn’t have all that much range as an actor, but when he gets the right kind of role, he really can nail it. So when he was cast as the empty-brained cult member in the Season 10 finale Ass Kickers United: Mac & Charlie Join A Cult, he was always going to be brilliant.
It’s not looked on as fondly as some of the other season finales for a multitude of reasons. It’s a bit too full, it’s got an over-the-top vibe which falls flat on laughs, Dee and Frank feel misused throughout, and as well as Jojo there’s a few other less successful guest appearances wedged in there.
Jojo, along with Mac & Dennis, is the saving grace though.
It’s rare that a character ever comes along stupider than Charlie, and here not only does Shepard sell it perfectly, it also feels entirely natural. He’s far more dopey than Charlie, and allows for a completely different style of comedy. The episode - a rare miss for It’s Always Sunny - sometimes sees his performance forgotten, but it really shouldn’t be.
